Transport of Blood Components
Combined Isothermal Bags
Isothermal bags EMO 02PP, 03PP, 04PP and 06 PP are ideal for the long-distance transport of blood and blood components to and from donation centres, blood banks, hospitals, etc.
They are composed of two elements:
– Expanded polypropylene box (inside)
– Expanded polyethylene bag (outside)
These are highly isothermal materials which guarantee that the temperature stays stable for several hours.
Semi-Rigid Bags
These isothermal bags are ideal for the transport of biological samples with a duration of maximum 5 hours.
Light and easy to handle, they are equipped with an isothermal lining made of aluminium and expanded polyethylene.
Isothermal bags EMO 101, 102 and 103 can be used in combination with the secondary containers EMO 01P, 02S and 03M.
Airtight Containers
These insulated containers are ideal for the transport of blood and blood components with a duration of maximum 2 hours.
They are made of fall-proof polycarbonate and equipped with an internal isothermal lining made of expanded polyethylene for thermal insulation.
All containers are airtight and are autoclavable at max 121°C
Recycled HDPE Bags
Made of recycled and recyclable (if not infected) HDPE, transparent to easily spot any accidental spills, extremely resistant to tears and with tear-strip opening.
Watertight seal certified by BAM (German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) and Blaue Engel certificate.
All bags are registered in the Italian Medical Devices Database and are in compliance with:
- EU Directive – CEE n. 679 26-11-1990
- A.D.R. (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of
Dangerous Goods by Road) – Instructions of use P650 - I.M.D.G. (International maritime dangerous goods)
Temperature Stabilizers
Made of HDPE, these elements are designed for the transport and storage at constant temperature of blood components, biological samples, drugs, etc.
In the past only frozen water-filled plates were used, whereas temperature stabilizers are filled with PCM, that in the process of transforming from liquid to solid absorb or release high quantities of heat, maintaining the temperature at a stable level for a long period of time.
Temperature stabilizers represent an excellent solution to replace electric portable refrigerators and traditional eutectic plates.
